Looking to escape the Olympic Craziness? Head out to Steveston Village during the Weekend. You can pick up a Pink Salmon to feed 3 for 5 dollars. They have other varieties of fresh fish available directly on the boats @ steveston dock.. Other things you can do include touring: The Gulf of Georgia Cannery.
There are several great places to get fish and chips while in Steveston. My all time favorite is Pajos Fish and Chips. They Have a dock in the Village and an Outlet at Garry Point. Winter hours are restricted but we were there Sunday February 7th and they were open on a cloudy & rainy day.

This wonderful moving art & Light show display is at the entrance to False Creek. They have strategically placed high powered light beams on The English Bay side and Vanier Park Side. You can even participate in the direction the lights face. Vectorial Elevation Website.
If you want to photograph this wonderful moving art piece there are several places to do it. I recommend the point beside the Maritime Museum. Usually un-crowded at night and you can have a panoramic city view with it. Vanier park is also very good. There are few lights in the park making long exposures with a tripod easier. There is also the Downtown side, which is very easy to access. If you want a view from higher up you can try walking the West Side of the Burrard Street Bridge to find a spot.

7 Day countdown and the house of switzerland is open! http://www.houseofswitzerland.org/en/. The Swiss showed off they’re hospitality by giving away free hats, pins and chocolates. A nice touch I think! The Swiss House is located at Bridges Restaurant on Granville Island. Go check out the opening today February 5th, 2010.
