Wine Tours, mountains, ocean, old growth forrests and less people then Victoria. If you need to get out of the city nothing beats Duncan. The Warm Rapids B&B in Cowichan is a great place to stay. If you really need to get away from Vancouver, consider Hornby Island B.C. Getting there isnt easy but its well worth the trouble. You need to take three ferries starting in Vancouver. Hornby is the Hawaii of Canada for good reasons. White sand beaches like Hawaii. Diving, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Camping, Kayaking. Hornby Island is a paradise. Not far from Vernon BC, Mara is a great place for a long weekend. Lots of local Wineries, camping, outdoor sports, skiing and more. Photo Album of the Lake Mara area.

Tofino & Long Beach BC. One of the 7 wonders of the world (unofficially). You can not live in BC or visit BC without going to Tofino. You need a least three days to explore this breathtaking scenery. Photos of Long Beach.

Victoria BC. Everyone knows about “Victoria Island”. It’s actually called “Vancouver Island” and the city is Victoria. Victoria is usually sunny long before Vancouver is. It offers everything from the Buchart Gardens to Whale Watching. You can visit Victoria in a day, but you’ll be on a tight schedule, you should plan on at least a weekend in the area.
