Empty Streets of Vancouver

by photodreamz on March 3, 2010

The Olympics are gone. All we are left with are memories, and the up-coming paralympic games.
The streets seem so empty and quiet. It’s almost like the Vancouver 2010 Winter games never happened.

Vancouver Spring Cherry Blossoms

by photodreamz on March 2, 2010

This is why I love Vancouver reason #100. March 2nd and We’ve got Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom. This was shot behind Burrard Skytrrain station in Vancouver. I think I’ll do a 100 posts on why I love Vancouver counting backwards. May take a while but I’ll get there.

The Party in Vancouver Mens Gold Hockey Win

by photodreamz on February 28, 2010

After the Men’s Gold Medal Victory we headed towards Granville Island to see the party on the streets. Everyone in the city was honking in celebration. While walking towards Granville Island they closed the North Bound Car Bridge Deck. We ended up spending a couple of hours watching the throngs of people walk across to downtown. My guess is every other 1-2 or 3 people had Canadian Flags on them.

It’s exciting to be a part of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Sad and yet happy to see it end. It’s been a long two weeks. I’m sure half of Vancouver will call in sick to work Monday morning because of the big party.

This is probably my last Winter Olympics post. I think Vancouver should be proud of itself. I know I am. There have been a lot of naysayers, but there always are for a host city of the Winter Olympics. While there were tragedies like the luge accident; Warm regards to the Georgian Luge team. There were also incredible highs. Like setting the World record for the most gold medals won by a host country! It’s not all about winning though, it’s about being a great host. And personally I think Vancouver did it with style.

Go Vancouver Go! Go Canada Go. Peace.

Oh I also wanted to thank True Media House North. Been a fabulous experience being a self accredited blogger. Cheers #tnmh

Here’s my final photos of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games
There may however be a few of the upcoming Paralympics in Vancouver.
