Sweeny’s Yaletown

August 27, 2010

Had some tasty flatbread, samosa and soup at @Amuse_Events Last summer tweet-up. Sweeny’s is a cozy restaurant that offers “slow food”. After trying the samples they had, I may have to go back and try the lunch menu. Apparently they make a mean pulled pork sandwich and they have a great patio.

August 21, 2010

One of my favorite Lower Mainland activities is walking at Iona Beach on Sea Island, during low tied. There’s a blog post or two about this in the archives, but its so photographic that I thought I’d blog about it again. While Jericho beach is nice its usually crowded. La Belle Patate

July 8, 2010

Finally tried La Belle Patate on Davie Street in Vancouver. It was good, no denying that. However, it will not replace my favorite Quebec Poutin, Patate Plus. To me the curd cheese at La Belle Patate wasnt quite squishy enough. But everything else was really good. The gravy was very close to Quebec style poutin. [...]

Stanley Park

June 29, 2010

One thing I love about Vancouver is you never know what you are going to get. It started out as a blue sky sunny summer day. Clouded over like we were going to have a winter rain storm. And ended with a sunset worthy of a trip around stanley park. Which is where I ended [...]
