English bay is beside stanley park, with 2nd beach and 3rd beach not far away. If your downtown Vancouver and want to see the ocean and stick your feet in the sand, this is the place to go. The Vancouver 2010 olympic symbol is pictured right and makes a good spot for sunset Photos.
Iona Beach
Iona Beach
Near the airport in Richmond, Iona beach is both a wet lands and park reserve. You’ll find ducks, golden eagles, cranes, and airplanes coming and going. Richmond is just south of Vancouver. Photos of Iona Beach.

BBQ’s, Sailing, Wind Surfing and Beach Volley Ball are what define Jericho. Don’t forget your camera for sunsets like this one. Jericho is on the West Side of Vancouver near UBC.
Kitsilano Beach

No Matter the season Vancouvers (Kitsilano) Beach is the place to be. It’s a local favorite for almost any sport, and a good place to not be without your camera. If your into people photos and sports photography it’s a good place to start.
Spanish Banks
Spanish Banks
Spanish Banks is more out of the way. Close to UBC its more popular in the summer when kits beach is overrun. It’s a fantastic spot for long walks or hiking in the endowment lands of UBC. Pitt LakePitt Lake
Pitt Lake area. Pitt Lake is a great place to explore. Camping, biking, hiking, boating, it has it all. It’s close to Vancouver and is worth spending some time adventuring. Photo Album of the Pitt Lake area.

If you are into birds or birding this place is a goldmine. Located in chilliwack bc the Great Blue Heron Reserve Is a nature park with plenty of scenery.
George C Reifel Sanctuary
George C Reifel Sanctuary
The George C Reifel Sanctuary is another option for waterfowl lovers. It’s at the mouth of the Fraser River on Westham Island. It has a bit more diversity in birds then the Blue Heron Reserve.
